Welcome to Amaya's Fresh Mexican Grill

The Amaya Family Story
Larry and Sue Amaya first came to Monroe County as migrant farm workers, building their lives through hard work and deep community roots. Larry fondly recalls working the Eiperly Farm, where the families were treated with kindness and respect — memories that still guide the values of the restaurant today. In 1969, he joined the Ford Monroe Stamping Plant, eventually becoming a supervisor and later serving as an American Advisor in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. Sue spent her career with the State of Ohio before retiring in 2007. Her influence lives on in the kitchen — she remains the inspiration behind many of the dishes served at Amaya’s Fresh Mexican Grill.
Chef Tino's Evolution
